Hydration is always incredibly important, but especially, in the summer, it can become our best friend or our worst enemy 💧 Consuming at least 3-4 liters of water a day for three weeks improves hydration and athletic performance. Typically, we recommend hydrating at least 24 hours before entering into the hot room. The goal of every class should be to simply sip water to cool the mouth; never drinking too much. Otherwise, we start to activate the digestive system. So when you wake up in the morning, start your morning with at least 1 liter of water. Don’t mistake thirst for hunger. 💛🫶 And don’t forget your electrolytes. At temperatures of 85F or higher, we can lose 3,600 mg of sodium per hour of vigorous exercise!
